Hi Mom!
Well Sure it's trite. But in the parlance of Joss Whedon, I'm all about the triteness. Me an the triteness go way back. I'm of course paraphrasing but if you watch Buffy I think you will know what I'm talking about.

OK so back to the subject. I showed my Mom and Dad miceland the other night. So If they are taking time to look at it, I am giving my shout outs now.

Saint Valentine
Is it me or is everyone I know going through a break up or getting divorce?

Its kinda creeping me out. Me? No break ups here. Sorry you'll just have to look somewhere else if you want tales of hearts rendered asunder. I know I am not in those relationships or former relationships and so I really have no idea what it means, whether it is out of fear or searching for a better thing, or wanting to play the field or deciding that you aren't who you thought you were for so long. It might be the best thing in the world for these newly liberated agents. I do not know. I guess now that I'm married, I have become an advocate of people staying together.

Happy Anti-Valentines Day
Well, we are in Vegas, and dialing up to make this report.

Took these pictures of Ariel with the boys. I think they are really cute.

Best Christmas Ever
Had a great Christmas with the extended mice family. GR and LE did the Christmas play. This year based on House of Usher. Yes, I realize it was a short story by Edgar Allen Poe first, but the Play had a distinctly Roger Corman feel to it. I got to play Rod or Roderick Usher. This is the part played by Vincent Price in the Corman version.

I didn't ask for anything but Santa got me some great presents. I really did not deserve anything but my wife must know that. I got Lord of the Rings paperbacks box set including the Hobbit, 2 Playstation games, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Hindi DVD, a Manga comic, a second Playstation controller, and lots of treats in my stocking.

We got our Kris Kringles GR and LE many GI Joes and Godzilla dolls plus a Gimli and Galadriel doll. There was much discussion over Thanksgiving as to the poor nature of Kris Kringle gift giving, so we wanted to make sure that we were up to par. They seemed pleased, so I guess we did. The best part was we at first gave them just pez and a mix disc, pretending that's all there was. The pez because once many years ago GR got pez as Christmas presents. The mix disc as that was one of the things GR was complaining about that passes for a Christmas present.

All the kids chipped in to get my Dad a Tivo with Direct TV. It has yet to be installed, so more on that later. I got my mom a Department 56 Snowy Hills Hospital which she appeared to like. Its the fourth year in a row she has recieved Department 56 sculpture.

Hope your Christmas was just as good.

Christmas Eve
It is Christmas Eve. I'm very excited. This year my family sponsored another family through the non-profit organization Shelter Inc. We got some information about the family members and what they might like for Christmas and mrs. mice and I went shopping for the oldest two of the four kids. Man, I wish I could be there to see if my gifts were good or sucky. I love giving gifts and I'm hoping their Christmas will be a magic one free of misery and sorrow.

I'm working today. But it is not that bad and I should be outta here shortly. Can't wait to hang out with Mom and Dad and all my siblings and my godson who is totally cute in the worst way. Happy Christmas everybody. Stay sane and don't drive into anything or anyone.

More Later.

Day Before the Night…
Its the day before the night before Christmas and I'm busy busy busy being good/ Its the day before the night before Christmas and I'm doing all the things that a good boy should/ I'm makin' up a list about ten pages long/ I'm on page ten now and still going strong

Those are the lyrics to a children's Christmas album I must have had when I was 10 or so. Scary that I still know the lyrics. But, not too surprising, given the number of times I listened to it.

I got to play Kingdom Hearts last night. This time I used the Official Strategy Guide that I purchased. I confess I am a cheater. When I play video games I prefer to use any cheat, trick, tip or hint I can possibly find. I don't like being stuck. I don't like impossibly hard games. They have a name for that its called real life.

How do you get the baby to stop crying?

I don't know where to enter the cheat code!!!!

Bellybutton?

LOTR Two Towers
Today I am on call. I volunteered to take the duty pager for all of Christmas and New Years. Am I a humbug? Certainly not. I just have some bills to pay. Plus I won't be traveling very far to visit my family. Its actually about a mile and a half to my parents house.

Anyway today we are going to try and see LOTR Two Towers. I know its the last weekend of Dickens' Christmas fair, but I don't feel like being paged to take care of a problem at Fair. Its a bloody hassle.

I am still struggling with the design of this page and hoping to get help from Josh.

More later.
