Writing: Added Nein Tea
I usd OCR to scan in all the text, the used the pre tag to format the text cheaply and quickly. The contents links to each of the poems, also each of the poems has a back, up, and next links so you can read each poem without having to keep returning to the table of contents. Added disclamer.

Lovecraft in the Movies
AMC has been showing movies based on H.P. Lovecraft. I had previously thought that there very few but this is just not the case. Please check out Lovecraft Movies for a list.
Recently I watched The Haunted Palace with Vincent Price. It's a great movie, full of cheesy cliche's plus a girl with her eyes sealed over, Vincent Price with two personalities, Lon Chaney Jr. playing a henchman named Simon, A great makeover of a girl who's been dead for 100 years, Chuthulu in a pit with a not too virginal sacrifice. Its really an old fashioned Hammer type of film with some Old Ones references thrown in.
Not long before that I saw The Dunwich Horror Dean Stockwell, Dune's Dr. Yueh, plays the boyfriend you never want to have. He coaxes, lies, and drugs this somewhat good looking New England coed into laying on this seaside sacrificial slab to invoke the Old Ones. My favorite part of this movie is that the not so bad looking coed ooh and ahhs and clutches at herself as if she's in ecstasy while waiting to be I-don't-know-what-ed. Dean's twin locked in the attic was sorta fakey. I liked the idea of fraternal twins, one human and one with hundreds of snake heads. The color shifting was super cheesy, but what can you do?
In other news, I went to my nephew and godson's first birthday. It was great. I got to meet lots of CM's friends. The boy is getting very big. His hair is getting a little long in the back and he is looking like a little rocker. Coincidentally my father had my sister's old rocker fixed and repainted. This was presented to CM as his birthday present. Very sweet.
I am home sick today. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.
Cheers.

Hi Mom!
Well Sure it's trite. But in the parlance of Joss Whedon, I'm all about the triteness. Me an the triteness go way back. I'm of course paraphrasing but if you watch Buffy I think you will know what I'm talking about.
OK so back to the subject. I showed my Mom and Dad miceland the other night. So If they are taking time to look at it, I am giving my shout outs now.
Hey Its Marti Gras! Pretty cool huh? I guess if I lived in Louisiana or drank heavily I would care more. I find it funny though that people celebrate Marti Gras who do not celebrate Lent. I'll explain. Marti Gras or Fat Tuesday is the day before the Catholic Season of Lent a time for fasting and abstinence. I myself am going to do my best to go to Ash Wednesday mass. As for what I will give up? That is a difficult one. I'll have to come up with something really tough. When I was younger I would say that I'm giving up Lent for Lent but that's typical for a smart ass 20 something mice.
I have scanned in an old poem book of mine 9t. I am working on adding it to the writing section. The problem is, the poems suck! I mean they are bitter and sad. The whole thing is much more poor than i remember it being. I also don't really agree with the poems anymore. So if you see it, just pretend you didn't. Read Azrael again. It is much better.
So about dns. Its still not 100% yet and some mail has been bouncing to miceland due to dns problems. All I can really tell you is please be patient. I'm operating on a limited budget so I have to be patient whilst I abuse my friends to help me put rather than pay too much for a secondary dns server.
Lastly, the secret news is still a secret. But things are looking well. I'm happy about it.

Saint Valentine
Is it me or is everyone I know going through a break up or getting divorce?
Its kinda creeping me out. Me? No break ups here. Sorry you'll just have to look somewhere else if you want tales of hearts rendered asunder. I know I am not in those relationships or former relationships and so I really have no idea what it means, whether it is out of fear or searching for a better thing, or wanting to play the field or deciding that you aren't who you thought you were for so long. It might be the best thing in the world for these newly liberated agents. I do not know. I guess now that I'm married, I have become an advocate of people staying together.
No obviously I'm not going to confront anyone and tell them that breaking up is wrong. I'm sure that is the last thing that these newly free agents want. I feel like Data asking Keiko if she is happy. Oblivious to her feelings and yet wanting the best for her. Though in these cases I doubt the Keikos will change their minds. Maybe its because of Valentine's Day perhaps we should forget the hearts and flowers and take the day to visit and care for the imprisoned as the original Saint Valentine would do.
My Dad woke me and my siblings up one Valentine's Day morning. As much as I can remember he said you have a new sister her name is Valentina! I was still asleep and pretty young so I didn't understand it was a joke until much later. That is very typical of some of the BS that my Dad would pull. All of my strangeness starts to make seance once you meet him.
Mrs. mice and I have been working out at the gym lately. My goal is to look more like Krishna and less like Keishi. Prosperity is great but It makes the Disney Pics look shlumpy.
Oh I lost another 100$ for a total of 200$ gone at Tahoe. Sadly I hit on a 12 when the dealer was showing a 6 and stole the dealers bust card. I didn't lose much on that hand but my pal Jason lost 200$ on that hand alone. Best not to gamble with me at the table unless you are going to keep an eye on my hand. Rookie maneuver, a total rookie maneuver on my part.
I sent a email out to my entire address book letting them know I had a new address and a new site. If you are just joining as a result of that message then welcome!
Talk at you later.

Lake Tahoe
In Lake Tahoe with my team. I took some photos today. Are they strange or boring? You decide
I'm having fun. I lost 100$ on Thursday. Had a great dinner this (Friday) evening. Almost too good.

The waiting area for the red waffle hut had some kitschy decorations.

A mural outside of the waffle hut caught my attention.

A collection of buoys I found interesting.

The sun made a flare and I got some of the mountains behind.

Happy Anti-Valentines Day
Well, we are in Vegas, and dialing up to make this report.
Took these pictures of Ariel with the boys. I think they are really cute.
We had fun at D-land, I spent way too much on pins as usual.
Vegas is interesting. I don't like the smoke, but the view from our room is spectacular. mrs. mice is enjoying hanging with her old college crowd. We have done almost no gambling (?).
I have a secret that I will only tell you later. Suffice you to know right now that its looking good.
More Later.
